We buy only the finest fresh Pasture Raised Beef from Southern Ontario. We have a group of farmers who donít use growth hormones, donít feed pelletized feed, and donít needle the animals as a matter of course. Our beef is dry aged in our climate controlled cooler for 10-14 days, or wet aged for 21-30 days. You will find the flavor to be richer than beef produced anywhere else. Our deli-counter is rotated regularly, and we cut steaks daily using traditional methods of trim which eliminates excessive gristle or fat, and tend to be slightly thicker than modern merchandisers. Steaks can usually be cut and roasts tied to your specifications and special cuts can be ordered to meet your wishes.  Our Lumberjack Steak is a cross cut steak which is marinated with a salt based, protein enhanced brine which breaks down the muscle tissue to make it tender. It should marinade for at least 4 hours, ideally 6-8 hours, but not more than 20 hours. Our ground beef is 85% lean and contains no binders, fillers, or other meat product.  Our Farmers Beef Sausage is a lean mild product and we use only the finest spices, with no binders or fillers.  Our blast freezer flash freezes the meat in less than an hour resulting in minimal moisture or flavor loss, and you will not notice a difference between our frozen or fresh beef.



We buy only the finest pasture raised Pork from Southern Ontario. You will find the flavor to be richer than pork produced anywhere else. It is not injected to increase volume, or seasoned to imitate grain fed pork. We cut pork chops and tie roasts almost every Friday so there is usually fresh pork available for the weekend. The bellies, loins, shoulders, and hams are brined with a very mild solution to create a traditional tasting pea meal bacon, and cottage roll, which donít shrink when cooked like some products. We use real hardwood smoke to cure our bacon, back bacon, and hams. The shoulders are made into over 10 differant types of sausage, using the finest quality spices. There are no binders, fillers or other meat products used, which makes a wholesome very lean and delicious sausage. Our blast freezer flash freezes the meat in less than an hour resulting in minimal moisture or flavor loss, and you will not notice a difference between our frozen or fresh pork.


We buy only whole fresh lamb from Southern Ontario.
You will find the flavor to be more delicate than lamb produced anywhere else.
The Lamb is aged in our climate controlled cooler, then carefully cut into chops, racks, leg roasts, and stew. The shoulders are made into lamb sausage, using the finest quality spices from around the world.
There are no binders, fillers or other meat products used, which makes a wholesome and delicious sausage.  Our Lamb is available fresh when in production, then it is flash frozen in our blast freezer, resulting in a minimum of moisture or flavor loss. You will not notice a difference between our frozen or fresh lamb.



Muskoka Meats has found a co op of dairy farmers who produce cheese the way cheese used to be! No artificial accelerators are used and traditional cheese making methods have created a product that cannot be matched.



We buys the finest free range Roaster Chickens from Southern Ontario. Chickens are air chilled and not injected to increase volume or seasoned. Our bone in breasts and wings are marinated here with a series of marinades to accentuate the flavor of the meat.  Our blast freezer flash freezes the meat in less than an hour resulting in minimal moisture or flavor loss, and you will not notice a difference between our frozen or fresh chicken.


 
Muskoka Meats has numerous smoked products using traditional methods, mild nitrite levels, lean meat and natural hardwood smoke. Our Kielbasa is an award winning recipe using pork sirloins and quality spices from around the world.  Our pepperettes are made using only the best beef and spices, and are also made as a pepperoni which can be sliced for pizza, or eaten whole. Our beef Jerky is made from our Beef Briskets and cut in traditional sticks, as well as our own Easy Chew Style Jerky which is cut across the grain. We also have smoked beef similar to Montreal style smoked meat, which is shaved or sold by the slab. Our wiener is a hearty lean and tasty hot dog which pleases both young and old. The Muskokafest Sausage is a lean spin-off of an Octoberfest sausage which weíve added some more spice as well as Beer. Our summer sausage is similar to a Salome and we us traditional cloth casings to allow it to dry to your taste. All of our smoked meats are prepared with care attention to detail necessary to create a high quality and particularly tasty product.


Muskoka Meats buys only the finest wild game meat from Southern Ontario. While it is illegal to sell actual wild game meat, there are a number of farmers who run game reserves and raise domestic game for your pleasure. Wapiti (Elk), Bison, Wild Boar, Venison and Caribou to name a few are available fresh periodically and usually available frozen.
